A koi pond, a shed

We are working on building a new tool house in the back yard. Originally, we thought to buy one and put it in the yard, but find out if you buy one, they come in thousands of small pieces and you still have to build a foundation then put all of the pieces together (neil them together), it's still a lot work to do, besides, we may spend time to find out which piece is next to which.. like putting a puzzle together, so we decided to buy raw material and do it from nothing..

So far, we only worked (mainly he worked) for 4 working days and it's almost done.

Oh, the pond, those lovely kois.... it's just pretty any times of the day. The biggest koi now is about 8 inches long (bought at 4 inches), the smallest is about 5 inches, they are all very happy, feed them 4 times a day.

LowLow got a stroke

Lowlow, an old woman who just pasted her 70th birthday, got a minor stroke 2 days ago. She tried to cook something on the stove, right in the middle of cooking, she went inside her room to change PJ into daily clothing, when she try to pull up her long pants, she fell, and the pants stayed under the knees, her mouth has little blood, but she was leaning against a soft chair instead of hard floor.

Her roommate came home and see her door was closed and lucked, but the phone keep on ringing, so the roommate knocked the door, no response, phone ring again, no one answers the phone, so the roommate knocks the door again, no response. The roommate goes out knocked neighbor's door, so the guy come in knock the door louder, Lowlow stands up and open the bedroom door, and she come out and sit on the kitchen chair, feeling totally confused, can not recognize any faces.... she got stroke.. send to Kaiser by ambulance with Mike.

I was in a great shock when Steve called me about this, and I did not get good night sleep that night... I thought, no, she can not die like this shocking way...

I went to see her on 13th, she is much better, she's not dying... she can move her arms, legs, and talk one word once a while, and can understand what we talking about.. but she got a stroke for sure, this is the worst thing she ever wanted to happen to her..

I did not feel well about all this... I had flu-like feeling, so I went to sleep early and slept by myself in one room.. feel much better now.

Now, she's not dying at all, what do we do with her after she kicked out of Kaiser? A nursing home for sure, but that will cost a lot, 4-5k a month easily.. solution, let's use all her bank money for medical reason first, then, go for SSI since the condition is bank saving is less than 2k, a house is ok, low income..this will do, no out of pocket $$ for any medical or nursing home related..

This is sad, but whatever comes, we deal with it, that's what our daily life is all about..............

Tomorrow will be a better day, that's what we all hoping for..

50th B-day

We 2 celebrated your 50th b-day today. It was a good day, we had good time and we think this is much better than having a big part with thirty plus people around and you don't get chance to talk to all of them..

We took some pictures as part of celebration, then, went to have a Japanese all you can eat buffet, then we went to buy a nice bracelet at Na Hoku (Hawaiian style), engraved:
