Skunk, Tiger, African Crowned Crane

I saw 2 skunks play and walking in the yard every night now. They are smaller than Tiger, when Tiger saw them, Tiger do not take any action, he just watching them passing him nearby. Maybe because they all share the same color coat - black and white. I try to scare them off my property, but seems they are not that scared of me.. so I am thinking to have a dog.. well a dog is very demanding ..

I sent Tiger to cat hospital to ask someoen there to put flea medicine on Tiger, they did it, free. But Tiger was complaining all the way to there, when we are done, Tiger can walk into the cage automatically and ask me to drive home QUICKLY (MEOW..)

The African Crowned Crane is still there, on my roof some times, land on my yard 2-3 times, I try to scare him off, but he just like those skunks, thinking I must being "joking" to kick them off.

Well, maybe a dog?? ??

Summer harvest from our yard !

This weekend is the 60th Hollister bike rally, its 65 miles easy ride to get there, when I arrived at 11am, hundreds Harleys are also arrived, roaring sound all over the narrow road leads to the town center. The main streets are blocked for vendors, and a show stage right in the middle.

cool bikes, some may cost as much as a new porsche 911

Bought a vest, have my own flame in the back, and in the front, I have an eagle sticker and a Holister 60th annyversary pin.

July 4th

We chose Santa Clara city fireworks show this year, it turned out a very good one. After not so fast dinner at Applebee, we arrived at central park about 7pm, already, lots of people scattered everywhere, probably fireworks can be viewed around the park, so it does not appear so crowed, we easily found a nice lawn that has direct view to the launching pad, evening is warm and comfy, not the usual chilly and cold feeling normal in N. Calif.

The show lasted 30min none stop, even with two cameras, we can only get few good shots

Above pic shows the famous Emeral Bay island is still very pretty

Above Pic is Eagle Fall that is closer to Eagle Lake

This is the ship - Tahoe Queen

So we finished this once a year camping at same spot in Lake Tahoe. Not so amny people compare with last year due to the scaring brush fire, maybe only 30% of last year's people..

We did mainly 3 activities:

A. Went to hiking to the Lake Eagle -- about 1 mile one way, rocky road, a nice bridge, lots tall and handsome trees.

B. On board with Tahoe Queen to toure the lake all the way to Emeral Bay and back, about 2 1/2hr long, pretty big lake. $39 pp.

C. Join the Truckee River Rafting -- about 3 miles long, took us about 3 hrs to finish, water is not carzy, managed to keep dry the whole trip for me, D jump into water to swim so he can get wet, but the water is very very cold. $27 pp.

And had buffet at the casino as last dinner in the area.
