Sequoia -- big trees
We went to Kings Canyon/Sequoia National park for a 2-day one night tour. We see all these giant Sequoia trees everywhere, they are so BIG, they weigh about 500-700 tons, and they are aged about 2000-3000 years old, they are still very alive and healthy. The "skin" of these giants are very soft which is amazing. We also joined Star Party at night, the sky is so beautiful, full of stars, the view is just incredible at this 7500F elevation. But it also super cold at night, it's about 25-35F. So we only stayed about 10pm, we have to run back to our also cold cabin to sleep, did not slept thru.. too cold..
The famous Sequoia tree !!!
The view from a top of Kings Canyon look out
Tahoe can easily passing thru..
One of the famous big tree right in front of "Giant Forest Museum". This one is about 2500 years old.
We stayed in one of these cabins, at night, it's freezing..
Another famous tree has name.. read it.

Jenn is home
Jenn is back to visit us, that's so special !! We went to San Francisco's Bloomingdale for a walk, then we walk to ferry tower, then walk back to Sonny building ( Meteron) , I was tired of such long walk.. She said she never been to this new shopping center. But ends up she knows the SF area much better then us and it's her telling us where to go, where to dine, where to see... it's like SF is her own town and we were the foreign tourist. We had fun time together though, and Jenn told us where to find good food for lunch (very good food court under Bloomingdale's). Here's what we treat her for dinners..
First night, we had Indian buffet at Indian Passage in Mountain View; Second day, we had lamb chop and dungeness crab as dinner at home, today, we will have rock fish fillet as dinner cooked at home. She likes all of them, hope so..
Here's some pictures we had while visiting SF today.
